In Industry, equipment maintenance is essential to avoid breakdowns and loss of production.  The difference between Preventive and Predictive Maintenance is that Preventive Maintenance tasks are completed when the machines are shut down and Predictive Maintenance activities are carried out as the machines are running in their normal production activity.

 

Thermal Imaging Cameras detect problems before they become serious such as overheated bearings, faulty electrical connections, blocked cooling pipes, thin refractory linings and many other pending problems.  Although Thermal Imaging Cameras are considered costly, often the savings achieved far exceed the cost of breakdowns and loss of production.  Proof of this is the fact that many companies have purchased multiple cameras to assist in reducing loss of production to a minimum.
